Touhou Mystia's Izakaya: The Animation is an animated adaptation of the izakaya simulation Touhou fangame by the circle Dichromatic Purpilion, Touhou Mystia's Izakaya.

This production of this animation was wholly realized by a team of fans, including the script, storyboard, illustration, music, sound effects and voice acting. Everything was done by fans; there are no commercial interests or commercial voice actors involved. It is purely a work by fans.
The animation will release with subtitles in 4 languages: Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean. The same as the game.
While I am the developer of Touhou Mystia's Izakaya, I myself am a fan of this game as well. This animation will be made from the shoes of a fan, for the fans.
We plan to release the animation in episodes of around 10 minutes each, with the story being focused on parts of the game that are either lacking in description or parts I personally want to add to, serving as a companion piece to the game. Watching the animation in tandem with the game will give the best experience.
As the costs of making an animation are quite high, we currently don't know how many episodes we'll end up making. It's possible that we'll decide on the number of episodes based on the amount of sales.
1. Treat the animation as a special DLC and embed it into the game. Players who purchase the animation will be able to watch it ingame.
2. We might work with BiliBili and release it as a paid video (BiliBili has more experience in fighting piracy, and they can resolve such issues in our stead).
3. Distribute it physically as a collector's item.
Naturally, as time passes, other, better distribution channels may appear. Please look forward to it.
This teaser is to give an idea of the series's visuals in advance, such as the artstyle, expressiveness, voice acting, etc. I hope everyone can control or even lower their expectations, as that would give the best experience possible.
If everything goes to plan, we will release the first episode in summer of 2025, yet the future is full of uncertainty, so we can only hope everything goes well.
