Today Sanae is playing "The Long Awaited Oumagatoki" on piano!! This is the Stage 5 Theme from Touhou 18 UM, and my favorite track of the OST. Whenever I hear people say that ZUN is losing his musical touch, I think of a track like this one and I'm like "...are you sure about that?" (LOL)
Honestly kind of insane that ZUN is still able to compose such an incredible, amazing theme for a relatively recent title. Oh, and it's also surprisingly tough to arrange on piano! I thought this was gonna be one of the "quick ones" to make, but yeah guess I was wrong lol something about the rhythm and those quick piano passages...man, I love working on this kind of theme.
(and yeah in case you hadn't noticed I'm a HUGE fan of the Akatsuki Records rendition of this track lol)
